The excitation spectrum and emission spectra (bold line) are shown for
APC. The red-shaded region represents the bandpass filter commonly used
to measure APC fluorescence. On most flow cytometers, APC is excited either
by a dye laser tuned to 595-605 nm or by a HeNe laser tuned to 633 nm.
